PRAY FOR OUR BELOVED SSPX

I have had the privilege to be a parishioner of SSPX since my reception into the church on 28 May 1977. The following year 1978 on the feast of Pentecost 14 May I received the sacrament of confirmation from the hands of Archbishop Lefebvre at Econe.
To my knowledge the  seven sacraments as administered then, during the lifetime of the Archbishop, are the same as the seven sacraments administered now by priests of the  SSPX

It is fitting to quote here  an extract from the address given by the Archbishop on the consecration of the four bishops 29 August 1988.
…The main purpose of my passing on the episcopacy is that the grace of priestly orders be continued, for the true Sacrifice of the Mass to be continued, and that the grace of the Sacrament of Confirmation be bestowed upon children and upon the faithful who will ask you for it.
I beseech you to remain attached to the See of Peter, to the Roman Church, Mother and Mistress of all Churches, in the integral Catholic Faith, expressed in the various creeds of our Catholic Faith, in the Catechism of the Council of Trent, in conformity with what you were taught in your seminary. Remain faithful in the handing down of this Faith so that the Kingdom of Our Lord may come.
Finally, I beseech you to remain attached to the Priestly Society of St. Pius X, to remain profoundly united amongst yourselves, in submission to the Society's Superior General, in the Catholic Faith of all time, remembering the words of St. Paul to the Galatians (1:8-9): "But even if we or an angel from heaven were to teach you a different gospel from the one we have taught you, let him be anathema."
As we have said before, now again I say: "if anyone teaches you a different gospel from what you have received, let him be anathema." My dear friends, be my consolation in Christ Jesus, remain strong in the Faith, faithful to the true Sacrifice of the Mass, to the true and holy priesthood of Our Lord for the triumph and glory of Jesus in heaven and upon earth, for the salvation of souls, for the salvation of my own soul.

Sad it is to see so many priests,, religious and laity falling by the wayside. Somehow a seed of mistrust has entered into them and grown. Finally succumbing to individual erroneous judgement and absence of humility they have abandoned the society that has succoured them.

It is well said by Dr Judith Meissner

The Modernist Divide and Conquer strategy is real and extremely effective. It is not Bishop Fellay who has fallen into their trap but, rather, the priests who abandoned him and the Society to which they made promises. By their defection, these foolish priests have weakened the single most effective force for Tradition the post-Vatican II Church has ever seen, all for fear of a theoretical compromise with Rome that has never happened. Rather than confronting the Modernists with thousands of priests and religious, the clerical and consecrated souls of the Society numbers less than 700 while the ranks of defectors suffer further ruptures and isolation. The enemies of the Church could not have hoped for more.

I will close with this text on humility from St. Benedict rule 7
The first degree of humility, then is a man keep the fear of God before his eyes … the second degree…. Is that a man love not his own will … the third degree is that a man for the love of God subject himself to his superior in all obedience… the fourth degree is that meeting in this obedience with difficulties … he should with a quiet mind hold fast to patience   the fifth degree … is that he humbly confess and conceal not from his Abbott any evil thoughts that enter his heart and any secret sins he has committed… the sixth degree is that a monk be content with the meanest and worst of everything … the seventh degree … is that he should not only in his speech declare himself… of less account than all others, but should in his own inmost heart believe it…
